I used to struggle with this one a LOT
Say you have a choice, stay at college to become an engineer or drop out and become a writer.
Most people in this scenario would write a pros and cons list of each and decide based on the one which has the least cons as opposed to the most rewarding pros. This is because we want to avoid pain more than we want to experience extreme happiness...
Instead, create 2 columns or lists
Engineer vs Writer
Now, write a list, paragraph, scenario [however you want to write it] of what will happen if it goes right. What is the best possible outcome from each option? Make your decision from there.
Not only will you be more optimistic about whatever option you choose, you'll also get your creative juices flowing and start to enjoy making decisions more. Seeing the best of every option will attract the best of whatever you choose and your whole perspective will change.
Good luck girls.
